What we do in Los Angeles
You complete COVA. When the status reads Passport to be submitted, you have a 30-day window to get the passport in.
Bring the file to Beverly Boulevard. We take it to 500 Shatto Place and submit it for you.
You do not need to go to the consulate.
Who this office covers
The Los Angeles consulate handles Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Hawaii.
If you live in Northern California, that file goes to the San Francisco consulate, not here.
Visa types (L, M, F, Z, X1/X2, Q1/Q2, S1/S2) and consular fees are on China Visa Services. Business travel is M, not F.

Is this a 24-hour China visa?
No. Regular consular processing is 4 business days after the passport is in. Call us and we will tell you what is realistic for your dates.
