Application for Expedite U.S. Passport Renewal
U.S. passport, like all other passports around the world, comes with an expiry date. It must be renewed either when it’s nearing its expiry date or after it has passed its expiry date. Very often, people tend to forget the need for their U.S. passport renewal either due to their busy schedules or not requiring them at that moment. It is only when your travel plans are nearing, you realize the need for it. Whatever the circumstances may be, 24 Hour Passport and Visas have designed a detailed procedure that you can follow to expedite your passport renewal.
Who is eligible to apply for an Expedite U.S. Passport Renewal?
Your U.S passport can only be renewed if ALL of the following conditions are met:
- You still have your U.S. Passport in your possession.
- Your previous U.S. Passport was issued when you were age 16 or over.
- Your previous U.S. Passport was issued no more than 15 years ago.
- Your current U.S. Passport is undamaged
Sometimes U.S Passports become lost or stolen and the individual may not even realize that it is missing. The passport that they thought had been carefully stored in a desk drawer might be long gone. In this case, you will be unable to use the adult passport renewal services to have the passport replaced. Instead, you will have to follow the procedure for replacing a lost or stolen passport. In order to use our quick and fast passport renewal services for adults, your passport must be in your possession.
Another condition for having an existing passport renewed is that it must not have been issued while you were under the age of 16 years old. Passports that are issued to minors are not the same as those for adults and cannot be renewed as of such. Your current passport must have also been issued within the last 15 years. Those that are older than that will need to be replaced with a first time U.S. passport as though they have never had a previous passport. Finally, the passport must not be damaged.
If your current passport meets all of these requirements and the expiration date is not for six months longer than the extent of your planned travel, you will need to apply for an adult passport renewal services.
